"Casing" a Favorite Demonstrator

This card is a "CASEd" card (Copy And Share Everything) from a fellow demonstrator from Germany, Jenni Pauli.  Her work is amazing and mine doesn't really live up to hers, but it was fun to try.  I think I would like it better had I not textured the card stock -- the texture grabbed the ink a bit too much.

I applied ink to the Whisper White Card Stock that I had embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  Using a Stampin Sponge I applied the following inks with a light touch Mink Macaroon, Golden Glitz Delicata, Daffodil Delight and I think a touch of Crumb Cake.  Don't miss the opportunity to get the silver Delicata ink, the gold and copper just sold out!

The leaf is cut from the Tropical dies from Mink Macaroon Card Stock.  I stamped the greeting from Rooted in Nature in Memento Tuxedo Black on Whisper White Card Stock and cut it using one of the dies from the Ornate Frames Dies. The frames are in the Holiday Catalog and are only available through January 2 -- you don't want to miss them.

I pierced holes in the label with the Take Your Pick Tool and threaded Linen Thread through.  The label is mounted with Dimensionals

I finished it off adding some sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment and the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.  Again, using that great Take Your Pick Tool to pick up and place the sequins.

It's a Spooktacular Halloween!

The Monster Bash Suite was so much fun to use to create Halloween cards and treat holders!  I used nearly every part of that suite to create my projects.

The Coffin Treat Box was covered with some Monster Bash Designer Series Paper and embellished with a fussy cut image from the DSP.  It was tied up with the Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon.

Using more of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper it was a simple trick to make a fast bag topper for a cellophane bag that is filled with treats.  I added a skull & crossbones Enamel Shape to fancy it up.  I'm pretty sure my grandsons will notice that detail...okay, maybe not.

The cards came together quickly.  Both cards have a Basic Black card base, a Gray Granite "headstone" cut from the Ornate Frames Dies, it's stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and a greeting from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set.  The "headstone" rests on another die from the Ornate Frames Dies, cut from Basic Black Card Stock, and is popped off the background with Stampin' Dimensionals.   I love how that little detail looks. I added a black Enamel Shape crow to each, using a mini Black Dimensional.

I used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to create the backgrounds.  One card uses Gorgeous Grape Ink and Card Stock, the other is Pumpkin Pie Ink and Card Stock.

Finished them both off by splattering some Frost White Shimmer Paint tinted with Gray Granite Ink Refill.

Thank you for looking! If you need a demonstrator I would love to be your source for Stampin' Up! product.  You can shop 24/7 from my online store where you can find the products I used in this project and all things Stampin' Up!  Be sure to use my November Host Code KKADFUQM. Happy stampin'!

Wrapping a Baker's Box

Sometimes you need more than a card and Stampin' Up! has some great gift packaging.  The Baker's Box is one of my favorites.  It's food safe, has a window at the top and is a great size - 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 2 1/8".  I was asked to do a display for a recent Stampin' Up! local Demo event and I knew that it would be my first project.

I "build" my bouquet on a circle of card stock, separate from the Baker's Box.  I made some paper flowers using Whisper White Card Stock and the Magnolia Memory Dies and the Perennial Flower Punch. I used a sponge dauber and Daffodil Delight ink to accent the centers of the flowers. Two of the flowers are large scallop circle from the Layering Circles Dies.  I hand cut it into a spiral and rolled  them into a flower, hot glue holds them together.  I used the white Flax Ribbon and fashioned a ribbon flower.

The leaves use the Magnolia Memory Dies and are cut from Mossy Meadow Card Stock. The white sprigs were cut using the Detailed Peacock Dies.  The flower centers were cut from Magnolia Memory Dies and I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the centers.  I added some loops of White Baker's Twine.  I used hot glue to attach all of the elements.

I wrapped a length of Flax ribbon around the box, leaving some long tails.  The bouquet is hot glued to that ribbon so you can slide the whole thing off.  I put some of our local Wildflour Bakery cookies it it.

I hope the friend I gave this to enjoys it as much I enjoyed making it!

Over the years I've used this style to wrap a lot of presents.  I used whatever I find, strips of linen or silk, burlap, or wide ribbon.  One of my favorites are rolled flowers from book pages.  Stampin' Up! used to sell a die and it is a favorite of mine!  Here are a couple examples.

Getting a "Round" to a Birthday Card

Today I have very simple card layout to share with you.  It was not what I intended when I sat down to create, but I think that is the fun of creativity!  I think this layout is very versatile!

Here are the details

Basic Black card stock base 4 1/4"x11" scored in half the long way
Copper Foil Sheets 4 1/8"x 5 3/8" and a strip 1/2"x4 1/8"
Designer Series Paper 4"x 5 1/4" (I used the retired DSP "Urban Underground")
Basic Black circle die cut using Stitched Shapes
Very Vanilla circle die cut using Stitched Shapes
Copper Foil Sheets scallop circle die cut using Layering Circles Dies
Stamped the greeting (from the long retired Paper Pumpkin "Hey Man")

Can you tell that I added a little Wink of Stella shimmer to the "happy"?

I used Stampin' Dimenstionals to pop the scallop/greeting off the black circle.  And, because I am cheap smart I use the following technique to get the most out of my copper foil.  By cutting out the center of the layer I can get the scallop circle and the 1/2" strip with some left over!

While I used retired paper for this project I think the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper would be a good alternative.

I added the card to this gift bag -- I used the Cheers Dies , a sneak peek of something that will be available to you beginning September 4.

Here is another card I made substituting Real Red Card Stock for the Copper Foil.  For this one I used    Well Said for the greeting

Delicate Lace Thank You Card and a Little Sneak Peek

I'm back!  Starting to play with all the "new" product that has been waiting for me for weeks!  When I ordered the Delicate Lace dies I pictured using the die like this!  It makes such a gorgeous edge!

My card base is Whisper White Thick.  I added a layer using Purple Posey, one of the new In Colors, adding texture to the layer by embossing it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the Delicate Lace panel.

The frame that I die cut is the sneak peak -- it is a die set from a Halloween Suite -- Ornate Frames.  I stamped in Basic Gray Ink the "Thanks" greeting from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  I used dies from several sets to place behind the greeting --Botanical Tags, Frosted Bouquet, and Lovely Flowers.  If you don't want (insert shocked gasp) to purchase, or don't already have all those you could use Frosted Bouquet exclusively and get a very similar look.  The leaves are die cut from Soft Sea Foam card stock.  I used some threads from a deconstructed piece of Metallic Edge Ribbon wrapped and tucked behind the leaves and greeting panel.

Finished it off by adding a few Pearl Basic Jewels and colored the little flowers with Wink of Stella -- it's all in the details!

Delicate Lace, Purple Posey, Whisper White

It was so much fun putting this card together!  Really made me happy, and it's cheaper than therapy!
Hope you like it as well, thank you so much for looking!  I'd appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator when you order your Stampin' Up! supplies.  You can shop 24/7 from my online store. Be sure to use my August Host Code Z3RUATVA!

Bridal Shower Card & Sneak Peek

Hi!  Long time no see.  I've had a crazy year so far, spending weeks and weeks away from home helping my mom and dad buy a new place, downsize, sort, pack, move and sell a house they lived in for over 50 years. Bittersweet. But now I'm back in my own stamping space and excited to share a card I made for a lovely young woman who is marrying the son of one of my very best friends.

I love a simple card with lots of white space and this is the epitome of that!  I started with a base card using Whisper White Thick Card Stock.  I cut a Whisper White scallop square using the Layering Squares dies,  a smaller Whisper White square cut with a die from the Stitched Shapes set.  The heart is cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Stitched Be Mine dies.

I stamped a those tiny circles in a few places -- it's from the Artisan Textures set and is a favorite of mine.  The greeting is from Itty Bitty Greetings.  They are both stamped using Delicata Metallic Ink in Silvery Shimmer.  It is in the 2019 Holiday Catalog and will be available to you beginning September 4.  It is a beautiful silver -- enjoy the sneak peek!

I had some scrap threads from another project sitting on my desk.  I took a few inches of Metallic Edge Ribbon, cut off one edge and stripped off some threads to fringe the ribbon.  The threads are shimmery and silky and perfect to wrap and put behind the heart.  I couldn't resist adding some rhinestones to finish it off

Thank you so much for looking!  I'd truly appreciate you selecting me to order Stampin' Up! product through.  You can order the products I've used today through my Stampin' Up! 24/7 online store -- using the August host code Z3RUATVA for the best deal!

Cheers!

Be Mine Heart Card

Hi again!  I'm so excited to start sharing some Valentine's cards.  This first one was fun to make, I used the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies from the just released Occasions Catalog.  It's available with a coordinating stamp set in the Meant to Be Bundle giving you a 10% discount.

Here are the details

Base: 4 1/4x 11 Whisper White Card Stock, score in half

Layer 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Blushing Bride Card Stock

From Blushing Bride cut the largest heart, use only the thin scalloped border

From Lovely Lipstick cut the same largest heart, use only the center heart

From Blushing Bride Card Stock cut the heart border 3 times

I used a scrap piece of Vellum Card Stock, using the Lovely Lipstick heart I cut a slightly larger heart

Arrange the 3 heart borders to be as close together without overlapping (I used a post-it-note along the two sides to hold them in place.

Apply Mono Adhesive to the scalloped heart and lay it over the heart borders then carefully trim away the hearts that hang over.

Glue the Vellum heart the to back then place the Lovely Lipstick Heart behind those layers using Dimensionals to hold it in place.

Using Basic Gray Ink I stamped repeatedly the "sent with love" phrase from Itty Bitty Greetings, sometimes stamping without reinking.

Loop some Rose Metallic Thread and attach with a Glue Dot then place the heart.

I added a couple little hearts in the bottom corner, putting  a tiny Basic Pearl Jewel on the larger heart.

It was a fun card to make!

All of these supplies can be purchased through my online store.  I'd love to be your source for your Stampin' Up! supplies.  It's Sale-a-bration time which means that for eery $50 in product you get to choose a free set from the Sale-a-bration CatalogBe sure to use my January Host code QFU7KRX7 (when prompted online) if your order is under $150. Wow!  So much happening today and tomorrow.  Here is a card for your to enjoy while you are making your wishlist!

I used the First Frost stamp set and the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  I'm excited that this Holiday Catalog item will be carried over.  But, if you want the Bundle saving of 10% you need to order today.

This is a very neutral card and I'm using it for a wedding shower I'm attending.  I started with aVery Vanilla Thick card stock base.  Used the Pinewood Planks embossing folder to emboss a Very Vanilla layer and added that you yet another Very Vanilla layer.

I stamped the flower images in Soft Suede on scraps of Very Vanilla paper and used the Frosted Bouquet Framelits dies to cut them out.  Did you notice that there are two identical dies for the smaller flower?  One pass through my Big Shot and the cutting is done! The leaves and springs and the label were also cut from the Framelits.  I added some gold Metallic Pearls and some loops of Gold Metallic Thread. The greeting is from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set and was stamped with Soft Suede ink.

After taking most of the photos I decided to add a touch of Wink of Stella to the edges of the flowers. I love how when added to Soft Suede it takes on a antique coppery look.

I hope you enjoy this card!  I love to read your comments.
