Merry Christmas Snowflake Card

This layout is a favorite of mine.  I needed a lot of Christmas cards fast if i wanted to get my cards in the mail in time for Christmas.

I started with a base of Whisper White Thick (read about Stampin' Up! Whisper White below). I cut it 4.25 x11 -- I love using the top fold for this one.

I added a Real Red square which was die cut using the 3rd largest (aka 2nd smallest) square from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

The snowflake is cut using the So Many Snowflakes Dies.  I used Shimmery White Card Stock for the snowflake.  It just seemed to add depth and a little contrast to this simple design.

The greeting is from Snowflake Wishes.  I wanted only the "Merry Christmas" portion from the "Snowflake Wishes for a Merry Christmas" stamp.  I didn't think I'd ever use that stamp as it was but I LOVE the Merry Christmas portion so I got my Paper Snip Scissors out and trimmed the Merry Christmas.  There was no room for error, it helped to bend the stamp so I could see exactly where to cut.  I was successful!  If you don't want to cut your stamps you can mask the part you don't want.

I positioned the newly trimmed greeting onto my Stamparatus which helps me get a perfectly placed and stamped image every time. I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the image.

Adhere the Real Red Square with Stampin' Seal Adhesive, the snowflake is easily attached using Glue Dots.

Finish it off by adding a Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the snowflake

If I were not mailing these I'd use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the square and the snowflake.

I wanted to give you an update on Whisper White Card Stock.  The mill that produced it has permanently closed so Stampin' Up! has developed a replacement, naming it Basic White.  Here is a video with more information

It's Halloween...Spiders Scare Me!

I needed some quick Halloween cards for the grandsons.  I saw the spider in the jar card done by another demonstrator, I'm sorry I don't remember who.  I didn't want an identical card for each grandson so i came up with the spider escaping! I'll be having nightmares thinking of the spider escaping!

The products I used:

Hallows Night Magic Stamp Set

Halloween Magic Dies

Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder

(Magic in This Night Suite includes all of the above and more for a discounted price)

Mason Jar Shaker Dome

Jar of Flowers Stamp Set

Jar Punch

Whisper White Card Stock

Basic Black Card Stock

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad

I'm pretty sure that the grandsons don't pay much attention to the cards and just dig into the treats and LEGO in their package, but I have fun trying to get their attention!

Sneak Peak Tasteful Labels Dies

Today's card will show you the versatility of the Tasteful Touches Bundle.  It is one of the items that demonstrators can preorder from the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. It will be available to customers on June 3! I used a die in the Tasteful Labels that made me think of the mid century modern style.  That is not at all what the bundle is about as you can see in this picture.  Can you guess which die I used?

Here is my creation

My card base is an A2 Whisper White top fold card.  I used Coastal Cabana and Basic Black layers.  The Coastal Cabana layer was embossed with the retired Stone 3D Embossing Folder, and until this moment I could have sworn it was in the new catalog but it is not...sorry about that. It made me think of the stone fireplace in "The Brady Bunch"!

I used Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, and Whisper White for cutting the shapes.  The accents were cut from dies in the Poppy Moments Dies using Basic Black, Crushed Curry and Pretty Peacock. I think the "You are the Best" greeting in this set would be a good match for the style, but I went with Smile from the Daisy Lane stamp set, stamping in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

I added a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels to complete the card.  Hope it makes you smile!

If you want to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies and do not already have a demonstrator I'd love you to choose to shop 24/7 from my Online Store and have your supplies delivered to your doorstep! Bee Thankful

It's a conundrum, create with a favorite set that is retiring soon or create with one of my preorder sets from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  Today the retiring soon set won.  I love the Honey Bee Bundle from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog...that bee in the Detailed Bee Dies is to die for (pun intended).

This card couldn't be simpler, die cut the bee from Gold Foil Sheets. On a 4"x5.25" Whisper White panel, stamp the leaf images in Pear Pizazz, overlapping the end of the stem just a little - though I realize now that the ends are covered so my precision placement is lost.

Stamp the greeting with Versamark, use the Heat Tool to heat emboss with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Die cut the greeting with the smallest die in the Stitched So Sweetly dies (not retiring!) It's like the greeting was made for the die.

I couldn't stop there and added a little Wink of Stella to the flowers on the leaf garlands.

The bee is mounted using Mini Glue Dots, the greeting is mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The panel is mounted to an A2 size card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

You still have a few more days to make the Honey Bee Bundle yours. If you want to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies and do not already have a demonstrator I'd love you to choose to shop 24/7 from my Online Store and have your supplies delivered to your doorstep! While you are shopping check out the retiring items. Be sure to use my May Host Code D6HUVKCG when placing your order! Sneak Peak Forever Fern Bundle

Today I'm excited to introduce you to the Forever Fern Bundle -- a sneak peak into the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. It is already a new favorite!  In addition to the bundle I used the Greenery Mini Embossing Folders

The embossing on the background is from two mini folders, laid side by side with the Soft Sea Foam Cardstock  between both them.  The gorgeous ribbon is the Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon which I colored ombre effect with the Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blend, it is tied to hide the slide seam where the two embossing folders meet. I also used that Stampin' Blend to add some color to some of the raised elements.

I stamped one of the leaves from the Forever Fern stamp set using Soft Sea Foam and cut it out with a die from the Forever Flourishing Dies.  I cut out another leaf spray from Shaded Spruce.  I highlighted some of the raised embossing with my Clear Wink of Stella pen.  I stamped the greeting onto a Soft Sea Foam panel using Shaded Spruce Ink, I cut the decorative ends of that panel using another sneak peak product, the Lovely Labels Pick-a-Punch. The embossed panel was mounted onto a Shaded Spruce panel.  The card base is Whisper White using a top fold.

I popped that panel up with Stampin' Dimensionals and added some (5 of them, gasp) 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots -- they are self adhesive and just beautiful!  I added a white dot to the "berries" with my White Stampin' Chalk Marker

Thank you for looking!  I hope you are staying well in this crazy time  If you want to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies and do not already have a demonstrator I'd love you to choose to shop 24/7 from my Online Store and have your supplies delivered to your doorstep! All Geared Up to Celebrate

I made this card awhile ago and am just now getting around to sharing it...one of my all time favorites! We all need guy cards, right? This one couldn't be simpler.

Basic Gray panel 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder

Emboss a panel of Copper Foil Sheet with the Subtle Embossing Folder then use Garage Gears Dies to cut  gears from the embossed Copper Foil Sheets.

Stamp greeting from Geared Up Garage Stamp Set on a Basic Gray Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink then cut the greeting with your die cutting/embossing machine using Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I used Tombow Multipurose Liquid Glue to adhere most of the gears.

The greeting is popped up with Black Stampin' Dimensionals as were a couple of the gears.

The base card is also Basic Gray, lined with a Whisper White panel.

Thank you for looking!  I hope you are staying well in this crazy time  If you want to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies and do not already have a demonstrator I'd love you to choose to shop 24/7 from my Online Store and have your supplies delivered to your doorstep! Paris in the Spring

Did I mention that my trip to Paris was cancelled?  Well, actually I should say it was postponed, so another year of anticipation and planning!  Still consoling myself by playing with the Parisian Beauty Bundle.

In addition to the Parisian Beauty Bundle I used the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

I love how the Gold Foil swirl follows the line of the Eiffel Tower (I did trip off a little loop).  The scallop accent was created with one of the dies in the Lily Pad Bundle from the retired Sale-a-bration set.

To finish the card off I added some Champagne Basic Rhinestones.

To further console myself I made some french macarons...and ate too many of them.

Thanks for looking!  Hope we'll all be traveling again soon but in the meantime we can stamp and bake! Stay well.

April in Paris

One of my very favorite suites from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog (that's a mouthful!) is the Parisian Blossoms Suite and the Parisian Beauty Bundle is my favorite within the suite.  So, while it is April in Paris, there is no Paris in April for me. I am consoling myself, making a Paris themed card...it's as close as I can get to Paris right now, and I'm supposed to be IN Paris right now. Tomorrow I'm going to bake some macarons, while they won't be from Laduree'  as I had planned, they will have to do.  But, back to the card.

Here are the details:

Whisper White base 11x 4 1/4 scored at 5 1/2
Basic Black Card Stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper 4 x 5 1/4

From Basic Black Card stock die cut the Eiffel Tower using the Parisian Dies (to save paper I cut it from the Basic Black layer. Adhere to DSP with Tombow Multipurpose Glue

From Silver Foil Paper die cut the swirl using the Parisian Dies, adhere with Tombow

On a scrap piece of Basic Black stamp the word Amour from the Parisian Beauty stamp set in Versamark and emboss with White Embossing Powder, trim to fit.  I mounted it on the Eiffel Tower with Black Mini Dimensionals.  White embossing on black is one of my new favorite things!

Fussy cut some flowers from the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I glued some on and some are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals

Add a few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and voila!

I love the foil accents on the Designer Series Paper...well I love it all!  I hope I inspired you to bring a little Paris to your projects!

Faux Chanel Pop Art Card

Inspiration for a card hits at unexpected times.  I was in Palm Springs at the Village Fest -- a street fair with a lot of local art and food.  I saw a beautiful Chanel No.5 perfume bottle pop art piece and thought I could do a version with the new Dressed to Impress stamp set that has the perfect perfume bottle. Luckily it was a set I had with me (doesn't everyone travel with card making supplies?)!

I used the watercolor splotch in the set for the background -- colors are Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue and Mint Macaron.  The perfume bottle is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I cut the panel with the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies

I masked the word Parfum and replaced it with a letter "C" stamp I had in my retired stash (Sans and Stripes Photopolymer stamp set).  I think it has a pretty good faux Chanel look!

While I was at it I made a couple of variations without masking the word Parfum.

I changed the background colors a bit -- Soft Sea Foam, Soft Suede

The Mother's Day Card uses a bubble background and line image from Artisan Textures Cling Mount Stamp.  I embossed the greeting with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to make your own!  Look at all the wonderful images and dies in the Dressed to Impress Bundle.

Thank you for looking!  Right now it's Sale-a-bration (SAB) time as well.  For every $50 in product you purchase you get to choose a free set from the SAB catalog.  If you want to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies and do not already have a demonstrator I'd love you to choose to shop from my Online Store  Be sure to use my February Host Code, AH4TV4PC, when placing your order!  Remember, orders of $150 or more qualifies you for free product so there is no need to add the code for those orders.

Hearts! Hearts! Hearts!

I love Valentine's cards...they are some of my very favorite to make.  Hopefully my DH will like this. It's not too fussy is it?

What I did:

Card Base -- Gray Granite
Middle Layer -- Blackberry Bliss
Top Layer -- Whisper White

From the Stitched Be Mine dies I used the stitched outline heart and "embossed" it 3 times on the Whisper White Layer

From the same dies I cut 3 sizes of hearts in 4 colors:  Gray Granite, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, and Soft Sea Foam.

I use Tombow adhesive for some of the hearts and some were adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals

I added glimmer to the Soft Sea Foam hearts with the Wink of Stella -- Wow!  I love that glimmer.

Lastly, I added a few Heart Epoxy Drops.

Hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to make your own!

Tropical Oasis Birthday

The Tropical Oasis Suite in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog is one of my very favorite things in the catalog. I used the Timeless Tropical Bundle for this card. It came along just in time for me to use it to make my sister's birthday card.  She was celebrating in Maui and I got to hand deliver the card!

Sadly I took just this one photo and it doesn't do the card justice.

What I did:

Stamp a variety of Artisan Textures in Coastal Cabana onto a Whisper White panel

Use the Subtle 3D Embossing folder to emboss Gold Foil Paper then die cut it using the In the Tropics Die.

I added a variety of inks to a panel of Pear Pizazz to give it a watercolor look then cut the pineapple top and the small leaf using the In the Tropics Die

Watercolored a scrap of Whisper White with Blushing Bide Ink then cut the flowers using the In the Tropics Dies

Using Tombo Glue I adhered the pineapple and flowers to the stamped Whisper White Panel

Stamped the greeting using Saddle Brown Stazon Ink

Add Basic Pearls to the centers of the flowers.

Layered the Whisper White panel onto an Early Espresso panel then mounted that onto a Whisper White Thick card base

Splattered the card with a Soft Suede marker.

I stamped the greeting on the inside and added the adorable pineapple from the Tropical Oasis trinkets.

Wish I had more photos to share -- I loved the card!

Buy the Shoes (and the stamps!)

I love Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP)!  I sort of made a resolution to (gasp) cut into it and use it!  After all, I know how to buy more!  I particularly love the Best Dressed DSP that coordinates with the Dressed to Impress stamp set and All Dressed Up Dies (you can get them in a bundle and save 10%)

Designer Series Paper makes it easy and fast to put a card together.  I simply cut a panel, layered it onto another layer of Lovely Lipstick, with just a 1/16" border.  I die cut the label from Whisper White and stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the shoe in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored it with the Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin' Blend then fussy cut it out.

When I put it all together I decided it needed a little something so I cut a a border strip from the Sale-a-bration (that means you can get it free) set Lily Pad Dies and adhered it at the bottom of the layered panels.

Finished it off with a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels...voila card is done!

Thank you for looking!  I promise my next card will be from the new Mini Catalog!  Right now it's Sale-a-bration (SAB) time as well.  For every $50 in product you purchase you get to choose a free set from the SAB catalog.  If you want to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies and do not already have a demonstrator I'd love you to choose to shop from my Online Store  Be sure to use my January Host Code, 6Z2ARRA, when placing your order!  Remember, orders of $150 or more qualifies you for free product so there is no need to add the code for those orders.
