Merry & White Christmas Card

Sometimes you don't have to use a Christmas themed stamp set to make a Christmas themed card.   I sat down to make a card for a friend and pulled Hello Friend off the shelf.  Christmas is on my mind and the wreath on this one jumped out at me and I challenged myself to make a holiday card with it.  It was  not difficult!

I stamped the wreath in Crumb Cake onto a 3" square panel of Whisper White.  I used my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker to add color to the "little dotty things" on the wreath. It's a subtle detail that made a big difference.

That panel was layered on to a Shimmery White layer that is just 1/8" bigger, using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I cut a Whisper White panel, 4 1/8" x 5 3/8, and ran it through my Big Shot using the Softly Falling embossing folder.  That panel is layered on to a Whisper White card base, 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  The wreath layers were adhered on the top of the embossed layer.

To finish it off I cut a 1/2" strip of Shimmery White and with Cherry Cobbler Ink I stamped the Merry & Bright greeting from Season to Sparkle, trimming the ends. Using my bone folder I added some shape and adhered it with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.  I tied a bow with Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim and finally added 3 Rhinestone Jewels.

I am smitten with Whisper White on Shimmery White
