Another Great Year Paper Pumpkin

Check out the December Paper Pumpkin.  I really like the rotary stamp with the kit this month.

I love that Stampin' Up! creates a short video to guide you through the  way they envision the kit to be used.

But this time they also created a video with some alternate ideas

This scrapbook layout is probably my favorite alternate.  I HAVE to try this one!

I love banners, it can add just that extra something to any event.

and there is this striking card

For the first time Stampin' Up! is making this complete kit (yep, the rotary stamp and the marker too) available.  So if you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber you can order the kit.  It makes a wonderful gift or project to work on with family or friends.

Paper Piecing Technique Video

Do you save scraps of your favorite papers?  I do!  Stampin' Up! created this video to show us a great way to use those scraps to make beautiful custom backgrounds.

I think I might just have to cut some paper just to create some scraps!

Dinosaur Birthday Card

Diverting from Christmas cards to show you the birthday card I made for my Grandson.  He loves dinosaurs!

I stamped the dinosaur from No Bones About It in Garden Green onto a Whisper White panel.  I stamps the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Always Artichoke and a second time without reining.

That is layered onto a panel of Always Artichoke then I attached a piece of  5/8" Burlap Ribbon with the Handheld Stapler. The stapler is being discontinued so grab one now.  It takes a standard mini staple.

The dinosaur layers are placed on a piece of retired Designer Series Paper from Botanical Garden.  That's layered onto Pear Pizazz and finally I put it on an Old Olive card base.  I added a googlie eye and stamped Happy birthday! from Party With Cake onto a banner and layered it on the top.

Silver and White Merry Christmas

I needed several cards for my mom.  My sisters and I take turns each year doing a daily Advent gift for my mom and one for my dad!  I saw a similar idea and made a couple changes and came up with this simple elegant card.

The card base is Whisper White Thick, and I layered another white panel on top (have I mentioned I love white on white?) popping it up with dimensionals.  The snowflake and words from Holly Jolly Greetings are stamped in Smokey Slate which looks silver "ish" to me.

I cut the Merry from Christmas Greetings Thinlits from Silver Glimmer paper and used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere it over the snowflake.

Finished it with some Silver Glimmer paper stars.  I think my mom will love them!

Merry Christmas 3D Ornament Card

Here is another white on white Christmas card.  Loved using the Stitched Shapes Framelits as a backdrop for the ornament

The base is Whisper White Thick, the layers are Shimmery White.

I cut the round ornament from Delicate Ornament Thinlits twice, scored it in half and glued the two pieces together, layered it onto two sizes of the Stitched Framelits.

I cut a small piece of Gold Glimmer paper and fit it around the top of the ornament, and added a strand of Gold Bakers Twine to "hang" the ornament.

I embossed the"Merry"in gold, stamped Christmas in Basic Black and scattered some rhinestones on the front.  Both are from the Holly Jolly Greetings set.

Thanks for looking!  I hope you try making this fun card!  When you order supplies from my online store be sure to use the December Host Code H43H9MF9

A Simple Thank You Card & Year-End Closeouts!

I absolutely love the Best Badge Punch and the coordinating Stamp Set Badges and Banners.  AND it's a bundle so you can save 10% when you buy both!

The "Thank you" is from the Thoughtful Banners set and punched with the Duet Banner Punch.  The Banner Punch is on sale right now!

The sunburst in the background is from Kinda Eclectic.

One card uses Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, the other is Watermelon Wonder.  I added a Rhinestone to one, and an enamel star on the other.  The banner is mounted with a Dimensional in the center.
