Hello Fruit Basket

I just love this new set, Fruit Basket, that made it's debut in the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  The coordinating punches, Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack, make the tiniest, cutest fruits! The pear strawberry pear is my favorite - love 'em both.

Its interesting to note that the punched image is a little smaller than the stamped image. I really like that it adds some more variation.

This card is quite simple and came together quickly. It took me the longest to decide wether to make the orange a watermelon or not.  I decided the orange slice would be more to scale.

Whisper White Thick Card Base 4 1/4 x scored at 5 1/2
White panel cut with the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits
Fruit Basket Stamp Set Bundle (the photopolymer set and the punches can be purchased separately)
Real Red Ink Pad
Garden Green Ink Pad
Crushed Curry Ink pad
Pear Pizazz Marker
Soft Suede Marker
Peek-a-boo Peach Marker
Basic Black Archival Ink Pad
Stampin' Dimensionals & Mini Stampin Dimensionals

I fussy cut the bowl and around the word "hello".  The white panel is popped up, as is some of the fruit and the greeting.

Here is a closer look

I'm going to be using this set a lot more!

Happy Wishes for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day!  To me that means Spring is coming.  About this time of year I keep watch for the tiny green shoots that mean the crocus are going to bloom!  But, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself.  Today I'm sharing a Valentine's card with a gorgeous Sale-a-bration set, Happy Wishes, that you can only get for free with purchase*.

The main "happy" image is inked up with two colors for an ombre effect.  I used Berry Burst on the flowers and a little into the letters, Fresh Fig was used at the top, making sure to overlap the Berry Burst a bit so there was full ink coverage.  It was stamped onto Whisper White card stock.  I used the largest heart die from Sweet and Sassy Framelits to cut the heart.

Since there are no Valentine's Day greetings in the Happy Wishes I pulled out a favorite standby for greetings, Teeny Tiny Wishes. I simply omitted the "happy" part of the greeting which is stamped with Fresh Fig ink and cut using the small label in Bunch of Banners Framelits.  There are so many little greetings in Teeny Tiny Wishes that you could use. The little greeting is popped up using  Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. The larger heart is popped up using the regular sized Stampin' Dimensionals.

For layering I used Powder Pink Card Stock embossed with the Sweetheart Embossing Folder. That is layered onto a Fresh Fig Card Stock panel. The base layer is Whisper White Thick.  I added a few Basic Pearl Jewels.

You can get all of these products from my online store

Use my January Host Code when you place an order less than $150. For orders of $150.00 or more you qualify for Host Benefits.
*It's Sale-a-bration time. You get to choose free product for every $50 in Stampin' Up! product you order.  The set I used is a double set and has beautiful images and greetings.  This particular set requires a $100 purchase to get it free.

I would be happy to be your choice for all things Stampin' Up!  Thank you for looking.  I look forward to your comments.

Waterfront + Fruit Basket = Birthday in Paradise

I'm loving this new set, Waterfront!  It arrived just in time to make a birthday card for my sister who is celebrating her birthday in Hawaii!  Couldn't wait for her actual birthday so gave it to her early!  It reminds me of a time we were together sipping a fruity cocktail from a Grand Wailea pineapple cup -- didn't stay at that hotel, but the beach in front of it is a favorite of ours and they are happy to sell the drinks to anyone! I've only used the more tropical look but the Waterfront set works for mountain scenes as well.

Since I've already given the card to my sister and I failed to make note of the colors I used I'm going from memory for the supplies.

In addition to the Waterfront stamp set, I used the Fruit Basket Bundle for the pineapple.  The Itty Bitty Punches are truly itty bitty and I LOVE THEM! I used the straw from a retired set, 3 Cheers for You.

The greeting was easy to curve.  The Fruit Basket set is photopolymer so it was easy to place on the clear block and mirror the curve of the circle dies.  I love the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

Supplies:

Fruit Basket Photopolymer Stamp Set
Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set
Itty Bitty Punch Pack
Stitched Shapes Framelits
Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon
Mini Stampin Dimensionals to pop up the pineapple and stamped layer
Aqua Painters to add highlights and details to stamped images
Whisper White Thick Card Stock
Night of Navy Card Stock (or Pacific Point for circle layer)
Basic Gray Ink (for greeting)
Saraha Sand Ink
Crumb Cake Ink
Soft Suede Ink
Island Indigo Ink
Pool Party Ink
Pacific Point Ink
Garden Green Ink
Melon Mambo Ink

Here is a picture of the cup that inspired the whole card.

You can get all of these supplies (except that cute pineapple cup) from my online store.  Please use my January Host Code, 6KU3JE92, when placing your order of less than $150. At $150 you qualify for host benefits so there is no need for the Host Code.  Don't forget that it's Sale-a-bration time so you get to choose a free item for every $50 in product you buy

Occasions Catalog 2018 Barn Door Bundle Video

Trying to catch you up on all the fun things in the new Occasions Catalog!  The Barn Door Bundle is one of my favorites in the new catalog.  I guess if I can't find a place for one in my home I'll settle for one on a card or scrapbook page! It also comes in wood mount.  Add a little bit more so your order totals at least $50 in product and you will qualify for a free Sale-a-bration stamp set

Check out this great video by Brandi Bernard.

You can order this bundle and all current Stampin' Up! products from my online store.  Be sure to use my January host code 6KU3JE92 when placing your order.  If your order is $150 in product you do not need to use the host code -- you will qualify for host benefits!

Waterfront Birthday -- a little bit of paradise

I have been MIA, I hope you have noticed.  So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Just before Christmas I got the flu (in spite of a flu shot) and is taking me so long to feel better. I'm still congested and coughing.  Yikes -- it was a bad one! I got my new product from the Occasions Catalog and some free Sale-a-bration sets (as a demonstrator I get to order a few weeks early) and couldn't even play!  Well, I finally got to play with what I think is my one of my "new favorite" stamp set -- Waterfront.  I was inspired by another card I saw, but can't find that one.

The set has stamps that allow you to create a scene.  I used them and filled in, and softened some transitions with my aqua painter.

I used the Seaside Embossing Folder to create the "waves" on the one layer.  The circle was cut using largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

Supplies: (I already gave this card to my BIL and not positive about all the colors)

Whisper White Card Stock
Night of Navy Card Stock
Pool Party Card Stock
Seaside Embossing Folder
Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set
Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies
Crumb Cake Ink
Sahara Sand Ink
Island Indigo Ink
Marina Mist Ink
Garden Green Ink
Cajun Craze Ink
Crushed Curry Ink
Linen Thread
Aqua Painter
Big Shot
Stampin' Dimensionals

It was a fun card to make!  I hope you will give the "scene stamp" a try!

Don't forget that it's Sale-a-bration time.  For each $50 in product you purchase you get to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration Catalog!  You can order directly form my online store here -- be sure to use my January Host Code 6KU3JE92 when placing your order of less than $150.  If you place a $150 order you qualify for host benefits on your own!
