Getting a "Round" to a Birthday Card

Today I have very simple card layout to share with you.  It was not what I intended when I sat down to create, but I think that is the fun of creativity!  I think this layout is very versatile!

Here are the details

Basic Black card stock base 4 1/4"x11" scored in half the long way
Copper Foil Sheets 4 1/8"x 5 3/8" and a strip 1/2"x4 1/8"
Designer Series Paper 4"x 5 1/4" (I used the retired DSP "Urban Underground")
Basic Black circle die cut using Stitched Shapes
Very Vanilla circle die cut using Stitched Shapes
Copper Foil Sheets scallop circle die cut using Layering Circles Dies
Stamped the greeting (from the long retired Paper Pumpkin "Hey Man")

Can you tell that I added a little Wink of Stella shimmer to the "happy"?

I used Stampin' Dimenstionals to pop the scallop/greeting off the black circle.  And, because I am cheap smart I use the following technique to get the most out of my copper foil.  By cutting out the center of the layer I can get the scallop circle and the 1/2" strip with some left over!

While I used retired paper for this project I think the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper would be a good alternative.

I added the card to this gift bag -- I used the Cheers Dies , a sneak peek of something that will be available to you beginning September 4.

Here is another card I made substituting Real Red Card Stock for the Copper Foil.  For this one I used    Well Said for the greeting

Delicate Lace Thank You Card and a Little Sneak Peek

I'm back!  Starting to play with all the "new" product that has been waiting for me for weeks!  When I ordered the Delicate Lace dies I pictured using the die like this!  It makes such a gorgeous edge!

My card base is Whisper White Thick.  I added a layer using Purple Posey, one of the new In Colors, adding texture to the layer by embossing it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the Delicate Lace panel.

The frame that I die cut is the sneak peak -- it is a die set from a Halloween Suite -- Ornate Frames.  I stamped in Basic Gray Ink the "Thanks" greeting from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  I used dies from several sets to place behind the greeting --Botanical Tags, Frosted Bouquet, and Lovely Flowers.  If you don't want (insert shocked gasp) to purchase, or don't already have all those you could use Frosted Bouquet exclusively and get a very similar look.  The leaves are die cut from Soft Sea Foam card stock.  I used some threads from a deconstructed piece of Metallic Edge Ribbon wrapped and tucked behind the leaves and greeting panel.

Finished it off by adding a few Pearl Basic Jewels and colored the little flowers with Wink of Stella -- it's all in the details!

Delicate Lace, Purple Posey, Whisper White

It was so much fun putting this card together!  Really made me happy, and it's cheaper than therapy!

Bridal Shower Card & Sneak Peek

Hi!  Long time no see.  I've had a crazy year so far, spending weeks and weeks away from home helping my mom and dad buy a new place, downsize, sort, pack, move and sell a house they lived in for over 50 years. Bittersweet. But now I'm back in my own stamping space and excited to share a card I made for a lovely young woman who is marrying the son of one of my very best friends.

I love a simple card with lots of white space and this is the epitome of that!  I started with a base card using Whisper White Thick Card Stock.  I cut a Whisper White scallop square using the Layering Squares dies,  a smaller Whisper White square cut with a die from the Stitched Shapes set.  The heart is cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Stitched Be Mine dies.

I stamped a those tiny circles in a few places -- it's from the Artisan Textures set and is a favorite of mine.  The greeting is from Itty Bitty Greetings.  They are both stamped using Delicata Metallic Ink in Silvery Shimmer.  It is in the 2019 Holiday Catalog and will be available to you beginning September 4.  It is a beautiful silver -- enjoy the sneak peek!

I had some scrap threads from another project sitting on my desk.  I took a few inches of Metallic Edge Ribbon, cut off one edge and stripped off some threads to fringe the ribbon.  The threads are shimmery and silky and perfect to wrap and put behind the heart.  I couldn't resist adding some rhinestones to finish it off

Thank you so much for looking!  I'd truly appreciate you selecting me to order Stampin' Up! product through.  You can order the products I've used today through my Stampin' Up! 24/7 online store -- using the August host code Z3RUATVA for the best deal!
