Inspiration for a card hits at unexpected times. I was in Palm Springs at the Village Fest -- a street fair with a lot of local art and food. I saw a beautiful Chanel No.5 perfume bottle pop art piece and thought I could do a version with the new Dressed to Impress stamp set that has the perfect perfume bottle. Luckily it was a set I had with me (doesn't everyone travel with card making supplies?)!
I used the watercolor splotch in the set for the background -- colors are Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue and Mint Macaron. The perfume bottle is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I cut the panel with the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies
I masked the word Parfum and replaced it with a letter "C" stamp I had in my retired stash (Sans and Stripes Photopolymer stamp set). I think it has a pretty good faux Chanel look!
While I was at it I made a couple of variations without masking the word Parfum.
I changed the background colors a bit -- Soft Sea Foam, Soft Suede
The Mother's Day Card uses a bubble background and line image from Artisan Textures Cling Mount Stamp. I embossed the greeting with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to make your own! Look at all the wonderful images and dies in the Dressed to Impress Bundle.
Happy Stampin'
