Snowfall Thinlits Snowflake White on White Card

Can you believe I'm making a Christmas card, I'm a sucker for a snowflake die and I wanted to share it with you!  The Snowfall Thinlits is bound to be a favorite of mine. It is part of the limited release Snowflake Showcase products, only available while supplies last or until November 30.  I will be swapping this card at the Stampin' Up! Convention in Orlando and I think this card might be my Christmas card this year.  The Big Shot makes it fast and easy and it's gonna get a workout.  Here it is!

White on white makes me happy and I love a clean and simple (CAS) card.

For a little contrast cut the snowflake from Shimmery White Yardstick.

Step by step:

Use Whisper White Thick card stock and a 4 1/4 x 5 1/5" folded card base

From Whisper White use your Big Shot to cut circles using the Layering Circles Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The Stitched Shape is the larger of the two circles and it measures about 2 3/8" in diameter

Cut the snowflake (second largest) using Shimmery White Yardstick

Each layer is adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals

Add a little bling by putting a small Clear Faceted Gem in the center of the snowflake

Finish it off by stamping a greeting in Smoky Slate.  I used one from Peaceful Noel.

That's it!  It's what I did with my extra hour on this Fall Back Day!

You can see all of the Snowflake Showcase Products here

You can purchase Stampin' Up! products from my website 24/7, be sure to use my November Host Code ZVFC6D9B (no need to use the code if your order is $150 or more as you qualify for host benefits at that level.)  Thank you for looking!

Falling Leaves Tri-fold Birthday Card

Hi!  It's been too long since I've shared a project with you.  I've missed creating during the crazy busy summer.  So, when a friend asked me to make a special card for her I jumped at the opportunity to "have" to spend some time in my studio.

I wanted something a little more memorable than a traditional opening card.  I had just been admiring this beautiful card that Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up Co-founder, posted on her blog.  I used it as my inspiration.

I used the design of a card I made nearly a year ago, adapting it to this trip-fold card.  I used a salad plate to make the curve, lightly tracing the curve then cutting with scissors.

I kept it a little less distressed than my inspiration but had fun finishing the inside.

Here is a close up of the front

You can purchase most of the supplies from my online store.  I would love to be your source for all things Stampin' Up!  Be sure to use my September Host Code, P4BVRXSH, when placing your order.  While you are shopping be sure to check out the Clearance Rack for some great bargains.  Browse the new Holiday Catalog, too!

Varied Vases Thank You and July Specials

So much to share for the month of July.  I'll start with this card that I'm using to include with the new 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! catalog.  After traveling for a couple of months I finally have my supply of catalogs and am getting them to my customers.

Varied Vases is one of my favorite new stamp sets for a variety of reasons.  It comes in a bundle so you can save 10%, it was designed in collaboration with a fellow demonstrator as part of her reaching  1 million dollars in sales and it's just so darn cute.  Here is my creation -- I've made several using different inks and paper combos, but this Gray Granite is one of my favorite

I think just about any color will pair well with it.  For these flowers I used Lovely Lipstick, another NEW favorite of mine.

I scattered a few Basic Pearls and then some Whisper White Bakers Twine to disguise where the two papers meet. I had planned to tie a bow but decide a knot was perfect, but NOT because I couldn't get a bow tied....really!

Here is the supply list

A sweet note from my niece

Even though I rarely get to see her, I happen to know that my 9 year old niece loves crafty things. So during our visit with them, after school, on a couple of days we made some cards.  I pulled out my most recent Paper Pumpkin sets, showed her the videos on them and set her loose with the supplies.  She had so much fun and made her own adaptions to the projects.

I completely failed to take a picture of her with her creations.

Yesterday when she stopped by after school she handed me a note and said I should open it when she wasn't there.  It makes me smile and I wanted to share this with you!

I decided to give her a subscription to Paper Pumpkin and she cannot wait!  I also ordered her a few other basic supplies.  While I will not be there to see her face light up when she gets the supplies I know she will love them.

Thanks for letting me share this with you.  I hope you take some time to share your creativity and make someone smile!

Don't forget that the new Stampin' Up! Catalog was just released.  I would love to be your source for the great Stampin' Up! supplies that I love and use.  You can shop 24/7 from my online store. Be sure to use my June host code, B67N93B7!for orders of less than $150

You are the Greatest Dad Card

Traveling in an RV poses frustrations for me when it comes to card making.  Little or no WiFi, small space,  I don't get to completely choose the time I can create and for this one the lighting wasn't great.  I see that my greeting is a little wonky, but it is what it is and I have a feeling my dad will not notice.  So with that...

I got to play with some stamp sets from the just released 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog.

I started by stamping the woodgrain in the new set Gallery Grunge in Soft Suede, stamping off once so I was using a "second generation" image.  On top of that I stamped the larger circle from the new set Swirly Frames in Early Espresso ink, stamping it twice again without reinking.

I don't have all my stamps with me and didn't have the straight forward "happy father's day" stamp I might have chosen so I grabbed another new set, Tropical Chic.  It seemed like an unlikely set to use for Father's Day, but it worked!  Luckily I have in my supplies a favorite returning set, Labeler Alphabet to add the word "Dad".  I have two of the Labeler Alphabet set which makes it easier when I need multiple letters at once.

The greeting is stamped using Early Espresso, the word "Dad" is on a strip of Very Vanilla and popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals

I added some more second generation stamping using the little line image from yet another new set, Artisan Textures. Then finished it off with some copper sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment and some loops of my favorite Copper Metallic Thread

My card base and top layer are Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock and there is a layer of Early Espresso between those layers. I hope my Dad will like it and won't notice the wonky greeting.

I would love to be your source for the great Stampin' Up! supplies that I love and use.  You can shop 24/7 from my online store. Be sure to use my June host code, B67N93B7!

Thanks for looking and happy stampin!

Dragonfly in Copper

It has been too long since I stamped or blogged.  I'm traveling and WiFi is sometimes nonexistent and when it exists it simply refused to load photos.   At the moment I have a window so I wanted to show you this card I made recently.

I love dragonflies and I read that they often refer to joy and happiness.  This card is a simple but elegant and it comes together so fast!  For this card I used my trusty Big Shot and the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits to cut this from Copper Foil Sheets.  There is a coordinating stamp set, Dragonfly Dreams.

The card base in Basic Black is the standard 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, scored at the center.  The background layer is Sahara Sand and I used the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder to emboss it.  It is a "3D Dynamic" folder and has variations in the impressions.  It really gives a stunning look to card stock.

I added a narrow panel of Basic Black and Saraha Sand and mounted the dragonfly with Mini Stampin Dimensionals.  Finishing it off adding some gorgeous 3/8" Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon.  That's it!

I hope you love this card as much as I do.  You can get all the supplies using my online store.  Please use Host Code S67RXYKE when placing your order of $149.99 or less.  If your order is $150 or more you will qualify for free product!  While you are on my website be sure to check out the retiring products that are only available while supplies last or until May 31 and the Clearance Rack is not to be missed

Bear with me over the next many weeks as I struggle to find time to stamp and blog!  Thanks for looking and happy stampin'!

Magical Day Dragon

What fun to finally do some stamping again.  I've been traveling and recovering from traveling.  My grandson's 5th birthday party is tomorrow and I've been anxious to FINALLY use this adorable Magical Day Bundle to make his birthday card.

The card base is Old Olive.  I stamped the dragon repeatedly for the background on a Whisper White panel. I layered it onto a Basic Black panel that shows just a 1/16th border.  In hindsight I might have stamped off the dragon to make the background a little more subtle.

I stamped another dragon with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and colored him with Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The coordinating die set made cutting a breeze.  The Blends make me feel like an artist!  I colored the fire with Real Red and Pumpkin Pie Markers. If you don't have the Blends, markers and a Blender Pen work very well.

I highlighted areas with my favorite pen, the Wink of Stella   It adds just enough sparkle and a bit of magic.  The inside was stamped with a greeting and I added Wink of Stella to it as well.  Finished it off with some Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon.

I'd love to be your source for all things Stampin' Up!  You can get the products I've used for this project from my online store here.  Sadly, the Magical Day bundle will be retiring on May 31(or while supplies last) so get it now.  Be sure to use my April Host Code when placing your order.  Of course you do not need the code if your order is $150 as you will qualify for benefits.
Thank you for looking. I love reading your comments.

Amazing You & Last Days of Sale-a-bration

Recently I was visiting my mom and noticed this beautiful card she made.  I think it's pretty much the way she made it.  I didn't think to ask where she got the idea, and she is always looking for ideas.  For about 10 years my mom has been doing a card class every week at one of her local retirement homes.  With 10-15 people at each class she makes a lot of cards!

Using a Blushing Bride panel I embossed using the floral folder from Petal Pair Embossing Folder.  I cut a scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies on Basic Black card stock, and a Whisper White circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I also cut the word "amazing" from Basic Black card stock using the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.  These dies are a FREE Sale-a-bration choice with a product purchase of $100.

The stamped images are from the Sale-a-bration set Amazing You which is available for FREE with a $50 product purchase. I stamped the flower on the Whisper White circle using Basic Black.  I colored it a bit with the Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker.  But you could add color with an Aqua Painter or a Blender Pen. I stamped the words "you" and "are simply" in Basic Black as well. The circles are mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals.

You can find the supplies to make this card in my online store where you can shop 24/7.  There are just two days left to take advantage of the Sale-a-bration free sets!  You get to choose one of the free sets with every $50 in product you order, but only through March 31.  Use the March host code 4DMU3VGF when placing your order.  If your order is $150 or more you qualify for host benefits and do not need to use the code.

Happy Easter

Where did the time go?  I've been MIA -- I hope you missed me!

I made these Easter cards for my grandsons.  They were fun to make and came together quickly.  I realized that I had not ordered the Hello Easter set that I'd planned to use so I had to pull out a retired set to find a bunny.  How is that possible?  I love bunnies and rabbits!

I used the Happy Celebrations stamp set.  The "splat" was stamped on a Whisper White panel with Pear Pizzaz then, masking the "A" in the word happy, I used Flirty Flamingo to stamp the word. The bunnies (from the retired set Ears to You) were also stamped with Flirty Flamingo but on a scrap piece of Whisper White.  I fussy cut the bunnies and used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere them in place of the "A".  The word Easter was created with the Labeler Alphabet set and stamped in Archival Black.

I mounted the white panel to a Flirty Flamingo panel which I mounted onto some retired designer series paper.  The card base is Whisper White.

I think this card will look great in whatever color combo you would like.

You can find the supplies to make this card in my online store where you can shop 24/7.  There are a few days left to take advantage of the Sale-a-bration free sets!  You get to choose one of the free sets with every $50 in product you order, but only through March 31.  Use the March host code 4DMU3VGF when placing your order

Faux Watercolor Thank You + Sale-a-bration Second Release

Did you hear?  There is a second release of Sale-a-bration items available now.  I absolutely love the set Eclectic Expressions.  You can get it free with a $50 product order!  My "faux watercolor" is made using this new set.

I started with a panel of Shimmery White and stamped the larger watercolor splotch repeatedly with Sugar Plum, Fresh Fig and Berry Burst.  On a scrap piece of Shimmery White I stamped the same colors using the smaller splotch.  I used the scattered dots, stamping in Fresh Fig over the top of both stamping several times without re-inking.  The greeting is stamped in Basic Black and is die cut using my Big Shot and the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies.  The following image shows all the stamps in the set.

I used my Aqua Painter to smudge or define some of the edges of the stamped images. The base card is Fresh Fig Card Stock. The "watercolored" panel is mounted to a layer of Basic Black Card Stock with just a 1/16" border showing.

The die cut layer is mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals, tucking some messy loops of Basic Black Metallic Thread behind it.

It's finished off with a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels

I would love for you to choose to order your Stampin' Up! supplies through me.  You can get the supplies for this card from my online store 24/7!  Don't forget to use my February Host Code, HZTEG7F6, when placing your order (no need to use it if your order is $150 or more 'cause you will get hostess benefits).  It's Sale-a-bration time so you get to choose one of the free items from with every $50 in product you order.
Thank you for looking! I think you will love the Eclectic Expressions set.
