Swirly Snowflake Christmas Card

While Fall has barely arrived, today I'm thinking about simple, mailable Christmas and holiday cards.

I have wanted to use the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Die so that is where I started.  I cut the border snowflake from Whisper White, white snowflakes make my heart melt!  I was positive I would love the white snowflakes against Shimmery White Card Stock, but it wasn't my favorite so I grabbed Thick Very Vanilla Card Stock and got the contrast I was looking for.

I stamped the snowflake from Snowflake Sentiments in Versamark.  The greeting, from Hearts Come Home, was also stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  I used the Embossing Buddy over the snowflake to make certain the embossing powder didn't stick to the snowflake.  Swirly Snowflake Thinlits and Snowflake Sentiments are available as a bundle and you get 10% discount when you buy the bundle!

I tied some of my favorite ribbon, 1/4" Natural Trim in Silver, across the top. Simple and done!

Here is the Whisper White snowflake diecut on Shimmery White with 1/8" Silver Ribbon.  Pretty, but not quite as much contrast, though the subtleties are lost a bit with my photography of these cards.

I've got two more simple Christmas cards that I'll be posting this week.

Have you heard?  Coming soon for customers:  Stampin' Blends, Stampin' Up! alcohol makers. Can't wait? Cool Treats

Finally getting some time to play with some of the products in the Occasions Catalog.

Cool Treats just makes me happy looking at the set.  While I think of bright colors when I see it, I used the Frozen Treats Dies to make a simple white on white background.  I love the Cool Treats bundle!

I used the greeting from Layering Love, stamped first in Peekaboo Peach, then off-setting it slightly restamped the image in Calypso Coral that had a little Versamark on the lower part of the greeting.  After stamping I embossed that lower portion with Gold Embossing Powder. This is the Partial Embossing Technique. It's a fun one!

The base layer is Calypso Coral  as is the layer behind the greeting.  I stamped one of the popcicle elements in Calypso Coral, added a Crumb Cake stick and a few rhinestones.

When you place your order from my online store be sure to use the Host Code P2EUH6EX for orders under $150 in product.  It's Sale-a-bration time and you can choose a free item for each $50 in product you order.  Sale-a-bration is the perfect time to become a demonstrator, join for $99 and you get to choose TWO additional stamp sets of any value.

A Simple Thank You Card & Year-End Closeouts!

I absolutely love the Best Badge Punch and the coordinating Stamp Set Badges and Banners.  AND it's a bundle so you can save 10% when you buy both!

The "Thank you" is from the Thoughtful Banners set and punched with the Duet Banner Punch.  The Banner Punch is on sale right now!

The sunburst in the background is from Kinda Eclectic.

One card uses Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, the other is Watermelon Wonder.  I added a Rhinestone to one, and an enamel star on the other.  The banner is mounted with a Dimensional in the center.
