Another Year Full of Adventures Birthday Card

The new Occasions Catalog has a great bundle, Balloon Adventures,  for making fun and fast birthday cards.  The greeting I use on this card is my favorite and is going to get a lot of use!  I paired it with the Pretty Paisleys embossing folder, which just this moment I realize is RETIRED.  Oh well...they pair together well, but I'll have to rework the card using only current product.  The person I give this to will not care.

I stamped the greeting in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, my go to ink when I'll be watercoloring.  I used the new Watercolor Pencil in Melon Mambo to color in the "another year" words.  I was going for an ombre look so I colored darker at the top and left the bottom part uncolored.  Then I used a Blender Pen to blend a pull a little color to the bottom of the letters.

I stamped the polka dot balloon in Melon Mambo onto Vellum Card Stock and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder, punched it out with the coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch.  Tied some White Bakers Twine onto the balloon and used my favorite Clear Wink of Stella to give some shimmer to the balloon an the words I colored and then added a few rhinestones.

I layered the card front onto a panel of Melon Mambo card stock and then onto a base card of Whisper White Thick.
