Merry Christmas Snowflake Card

This layout is a favorite of mine.  I needed a lot of Christmas cards fast if i wanted to get my cards in the mail in time for Christmas.

I started with a base of Whisper White Thick (read about Stampin' Up! Whisper White below). I cut it 4.25 x11 -- I love using the top fold for this one.

I added a Real Red square which was die cut using the 3rd largest (aka 2nd smallest) square from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

The snowflake is cut using the So Many Snowflakes Dies.  I used Shimmery White Card Stock for the snowflake.  It just seemed to add depth and a little contrast to this simple design.

The greeting is from Snowflake Wishes.  I wanted only the "Merry Christmas" portion from the "Snowflake Wishes for a Merry Christmas" stamp.  I didn't think I'd ever use that stamp as it was but I LOVE the Merry Christmas portion so I got my Paper Snip Scissors out and trimmed the Merry Christmas.  There was no room for error, it helped to bend the stamp so I could see exactly where to cut.  I was successful!  If you don't want to cut your stamps you can mask the part you don't want.

I positioned the newly trimmed greeting onto my Stamparatus which helps me get a perfectly placed and stamped image every time. I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the image.

Adhere the Real Red Square with Stampin' Seal Adhesive, the snowflake is easily attached using Glue Dots.

Finish it off by adding a Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the snowflake

If I were not mailing these I'd use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the square and the snowflake.

I wanted to give you an update on Whisper White Card Stock.  The mill that produced it has permanently closed so Stampin' Up! has developed a replacement, naming it Basic White.  Here is a video with more information

Thank you for looking.  I hope you enjoyed this card.
